1. About Your Rights and Digital Downloads
When you buy something online, you normally have 14 days to change your mind. With digital downloads (like our spreadsheets and executables), the law is different.
As soon as you start downloading or installing the files, you’re agreeing that:
- You want the content straight away, and
- You understand this means you can’t cancel or get a refund just because you changed your mind.
This rule comes from UK consumer law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). It doesn’t affect your rights if the product is faulty — in that case, you’re still protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. System Requirements & Conditions of Use
File formats: Products may be supplied as macroenabled Excel spreadsheets (.xlsm) or as compiled executables (.exe) created with XLSPadlock. Some may be packaged with supporting files using Paquet Builder.
Windows executables: .exe files require a Windows operating system. They will not run on macOS or other nonWindows platforms.
Excel spreadsheets: .xlsm files rely on VBA macros. Macros must be enabled for full functionality. While .xlsm files can open on macOS, certain VBA features may not work fully or at all.
Workplace restrictions: If your organisation prohibits enabling macros or running executable files, please do not purchase.
Prohibited actions: You agree not to attempt reverse engineering, unlocking, or tampering with VBA projects, XLSPadlock executables, or Paquet Builder packages.
3. Refunds
Refunds will only be considered in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate purchase (accidental repeat order).
- Technical fault in the file/package that prevents use, and which cannot be resolved after support is provided.
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase and accompanied by proof of issue.
4. No Refunds For
Change of mind after download.
Inability or refusal to enable macros or run executables.
Workplace restrictions on macroenabled files or executable packages.
Issues caused by attempting to alter, unlock, or reverse engineer the file/package.
