1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Daybooks (“we”, “us”, “our”) to your or your business (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
We will provide accounting and advisory services as outlined in the Letter of Engagement. Our services will be conducted in accordance with the ethical guidelines of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
3. Your Responsibilities
Accounting Records: You must maintain accurate and complete records of all business transactions.
Tax Compliance: You are responsible for registering for Self Assessment, filing tax returns, and paying taxes on time.
Information Provision: You must provide us with all necessary information and documents in a timely manner.
4. Our Responsibilities
Financial Statements: We will prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Tax Returns: We will prepare and submit your tax returns based on the information you provide.
Confidentiality: We will maintain the confidentiality of your information, except as required by law.
5. Advice
Information is often given of a general nature. This may be in the form of details on website, software solutions or in general correspondence. Such information does not constitute advice and no responsibility is accepted for any actions taken by yourselves or refraining to take action based on that information. If there is any advice you require that you wish to rely upon then this must be subject to a separate letter of engagement fully detailing the nature of the query and advice sought and the answer must be given in writing only.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claims arising from our services will be limited to a fair and reasonable amount, excluding any acts of fraud or dishonesty.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice. Upon termination, you will pay for all services rendered up to the termination date.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
9. Amendments
We may amend these terms from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing.
